You Visit: Mount Kilimanjaro Uhuru Peak Via Machame Route.
Given that the Machame route climbs and descends in different directions, it is a great route up Kilimanjaro that allows you to see the peak's southwest and south faces. A cook prepares all of your meals, while porters carry all of your supplies and equipment. In contrast to the Marangu Route, where you stay in huts, the Machame offers tents for you to sleep in, and the porters will set them up for you. Dinner is served either inside a dinner tent or outside on a blanket. Because of this, hikers with a greater sense of adventure would benefit more from the Machame, also referred to as the "Whiskey Route," which also offers better views. From Kibo's vague revelations to Shira's late-afternoon sunsets!

Once at Machame camp, the cook will prepare dinner while the porters set up camp. Remember that Machame Camp can experience freezing temperatures.
Day 3: Machame Camp | Shira Camp.
Breakfast is served early at Machame Camp, after which there's a climb through the forest and a gradual ascent through the moorland. After lunch, take a hike up a rocky ridge to the vast Shira plateau, which provides amazing views. When you arrive at Shira camp, dinner will be served and the camp setup will be handled by porters. This is an exposed campsite, so expect even lower temperatures.
Day 4: Shira Camp | Lava Tower | Barranco Camp.
Following breakfast at Machame Camp, hike 4630 meters to Lava Tower in the east through a semi-desert environment. After lunch, there's more climbing to reach Lava Tower. Climb to Barranco Camp to see breathtaking sunset views over the Great Barranco Wall and the Breach. At Barranco Camp, have dinner and spend the night.
Day 5: Barranco Camp | Karanga Camp | Barafu Camp.
Start your day early by having breakfast and then climb the renowned Barranco Wall before making your way down into the stunning Karanga Valley.
