Today, after a hearty and delicious breakfast, we will head to Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as a wonder of the world. This is the world's largest caldera, filled with grassland, forest, and swamp, creating a setting of jaw-dropping beauty. The permanent water on the crater floor supports a resident population of more than 30,000 large mammals. Here, you will find many of the reasons you chose to go on safari in Tanzania: lions, waterbucks, hippos, baboons, black rhinos, leopards, hyenas, jackals, buffalo, warthogs, gazelles, and many more are sheltered here.
We will embark on a 5-hour game drive, breaking for a picnic lunch. After ascending from the crater, we will drive to the Serengeti, enjoying a game drive en route to your comfortable accommodation. We have arranged for dinner and an overnight stay at Southern Serengeti, where you will rest in preparation for the next day's game drive.
